Frequently asked questions
Key information about service methods, security, data, scheduling, pricing, and payment.
Do you have a walk-in location?
No. YourTech is a mobile IT service. The Hazelwood address is an administrative mailing address only; no walk-ins, drop-offs, or customer visits are permitted.
Can my problem be fixed remotely?
Some software, configuration, training, and troubleshooting work may be suitable for attended remote support. Power failures, physical damage, dangerous batteries, severe connectivity problems, and some recovery cases require another service method.
Will remote support stay installed?
The standard attended app is temporary and must not silently establish continuing access. Continuing access requires separate device-specific authorization, a real job, an expiration or duration, and a revocation method.
Should I send a password or a file with intake?
No. Public intake has no file-upload field. Do not submit passwords, PINs, complete payment details, or other highly sensitive information.
Are all prices fixed?
No. Published fixed prices apply to the described scope. Scope-dependent services say Request a Quote or show a starting range, and final scope is confirmed in writing.
How do I schedule?
Use the owner-approved Zoho Bookings page when it is active, or contact support. Times use the America/Chicago time zone.
How do I pay?
Use the secure link in your Zoho invoice or the approved Zoho customer portal. The YourTech website does not collect card details.
Is data recovery guaranteed?
No. Physically damaged, overwritten, or severely corrupted data may not be recoverable. Avoid repeated power cycles when a failing drive contains important data.
Does a clean malware scan prove a device is safe?
No. Scans provide evidence, not certainty. Severe compromise may require a reset, clean installation, or device replacement.
